The Frog Picture

Dear Mia in Heaven,

Yesterday, going through some boxes from our move, I found the beautiful frog picture you had colored in for me, when I was a 4th year med student at The Lutheran. It used to sit on my desk in IL, went to England with us, and is now with us in HI. I haven't, and won't forget you, your beautiful smile, courage and fighting spirit! I'm sure by now you've been to see Peter Rabbit, as you liked the photos of his museum so much! If I'm ever there again I'll think of you and smile. Maybe you'll be walking there beside me then, showing me which displays you like the most. I'd like you to know, you have touched so many people's lives. I am continuing to pray for your family, and you, dear little angel in Heaven...

A CHILD LOANED

"I'll lend you for a little time
A child of Mine," He said,
"For you to love the while she lives,
And mourn for when she's dead.

It may be six or seven years

Take care of her for Me?

She'll bring her charms to gladden you,
And should her stay be brief,

Since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn.

I've looked this wide world over
In my search for teacher true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes,
